On the 24th March 1921 the first RSIGNALS cap badge was approved

The first cap badge of Mercury with an oval band surrounding (see image)  was approved on 24 March 1921. This showed Mercury with wings on his helmet and ankles, holding a caduceus and with one foot on a globe. The caduceus is a short winged staff entwined by two serpents.
